How to Look Good and Feel Great During the Festive Season

Looking good over the Christmas period is important: if you look good, you feel good, and that’s especially important during the festive season. There will be plenty of family photos, so it’s important to choose outfits which are both practical and stylish. It’s a good idea to have a few staple items that you can easily transform into different outfits. Some great staples include leggings (black, green and red are great colors for the festive season), skinny jeans, a warm cardigan you can throw on if you get cold and a lightweight scarf or snood, which can quickly make any outfit look smart. With these staples you can then add special items you choose for different times. These could include a glamorous tunic or dress, comfy sweater or sparkly blouse, whatever you feel most festive and glamorous in!

Looking good does not have to come with a huge price tag. Many high street brands offer great value, fashionable winter clothes and you can often pick up a bargain if you shop around. Another thing to consider is sales. Although it may be too late for this festive season, there are often sales which start around New Year’s Day and you can pick up an entire winter wardrobe for a fraction of the usual price, ready for next year.

Whether you’re cooking a big Christmas dinner or organizing games for the kids, keeping track of the time on Christmas day is essential. No Christmas outfit would be complete without a glamorous watch; a classic timepiece for women could include a gemstone to add sparkle, a bracelet wrist fastening for practicality and style or a leather strap. In fact, there are so many stunning watches to choose from that you can easily find the right one to suit your style that you can wear time and time again.

Eating healthily is so important all year round but it’s easy to let it slip with so many mince pies and sweets around at Christmas time. It’s important to eat a healthy, balances diet containing plenty of fruit and vegetables to help keep your energy levels up. The most important thing to remember is to try to relax and enjoy the festive season. Although it can seem stressful, especially if you’re a busy mum catering for a large family, take things one step at a time and relax, where possible.

Becky

After being self-employed for a majority of her adult life, Becky cannot imagine her work life being any other way. Just about an empty nester with her husband of over 21 years she enjoys the quiet. BUT sometimes misses the commotion. She is a Mom to 3 adult children, 2 boys and 1 girl (ages 26, 22, and 20 respectively) plus a daughter-in-law almost 25 years old. She is also the proud Grandma (or ma-ma) to Emma who is 6 1/2 years old and Zakary who is almost 2 years old. Becky lives out in the country and only misses the internet that a 'city/town' would offer.
